Under Way..

CoNavigant will facilitate a two-to-four-day planning and teambuilding workshop either ashore or aboard a luxury yacht. For the teams who select the ashore option, CoNavigant will lead a productive workshop including the following elements:

Review and prioritization of assessment finding and issues.
Agreement and personalization of mission, vision, and values.
Solving priority issues and preparing an action plan.
Commitment to succeed.

For the adventurous teams who wish to strengthen the leadership team at sea, CoNavigant offers 4-days of teambuilding aboard a well-appointed 44-foot sailing vessel.  Teams of four to eight* sail in and around the beautiful Strait of Georgia with a facilitator and captain/instructor.  The leadership group learns to sail the yacht as a team, building confidence and trust in one another's abilities.  CoNavigant combines teambuilding with facilitation of corporate planning, resulting in a close, cohesive leadership team with a common vision.

Typical voyage:

Day 1: Morning: safety orientation and basic sailing instruction while embarking on voyage.  Afternoon: review and prioritization of assessment findings and issues..  Evening: unstructured time.
Day 2: Morning: points of sail and crew-overboard procedures.  Afternoon: unstructured time ashore.  Evening: review and personalization of vision, mission, values.
Day 3: Morning: teams work on priority issues and prepare action recommendations.  Afternoon: charting and sailing a triangle course.  Evening:  unstructured time.
Day 4: Morning: teams present recommendations and an action plan is outlined.  Afternoon: team charts and sails a course with minimal intervention by captain/instructor.

At the end of the voyage, the leadership team has learned valuable new tools for addressing issues critical to the success of the corporation.  In addition, the hands-on experience of navigating and sailing a ship across open water builds confidence and trust, resulting in a closer leadership team going forward.

* The yacht will accommodate up to eight team members for day sailings with overnight stays at a seaside resort; overnight cruising is limited to four team members.
